This group of 11 vehicles from Cape Town bushcamped for five days on a totally self sufficient trip, exploring the mountain passes, abandoned mines, emergency tyre repairs, “Halfmens” trees, Nama grave sites, sandy river beds and many more attractions of the Richtersveld.

This project contains 148 minutes of interviews with LCCSA members on how they have kitted (accessorised) their 80 and 100 (GX and VX) series landcruisers. From custom kit, to bolt-on kit and some very practical approaches to accessorising.
The DVD is all about kitting the vehicle for overlanding/trailing and what ever you need or would like to have to do this better or easier. It shows the accessory details, where (location) and how to fit it, what pitfalls to avoid (where applicable). It is an informational tool on what is available and what works for LCCSA members. NB It will not teach you how to build your own drawer system but will show you several drawer systems and how it gets used.
Some of the items covered (and many more) are:
Suspension, BB, RR, RWC, Drawer Systems, GPS mounts, Radios and where to mount them and the antenna's, spotlights, dual battery systems, tyres, recovery points, rock sliders, bash plates, seat covers, water tanks, LR fuel tanks, etc etc etc

The Tyre Repair DVD contains 45 minutes of practical instruction on repairing tyres in the bush as presented by Johann Viljoen of 1st Alignment Centre.
The material shows hands on, practical approach in repairing the most common tyre problems while overlanding or trailing. Some of the topics covered are: Beading, De-beading, tyre removal from the rim and fitting it back on, puncture repairs, tools, etc. The DVD includes an Adobe pdf manual that is stored on the DVD with detailed Tyre Repair instructions and techniques that can be printed and kept in your 4x4 for future reference.

"Dune Driving Workshop" is now available and is the third in my series of workshop DVDs. The workshop is a 4x4 Offroad Adventure club event and is presented by the leading sand driving expert that has revolutionised dune driving to what it has become today in Cape Town, Johann Viljoen aka Johann 'Tyres' of 1st Alignment Centre.
Greg van der Reis and Russell de Wet are the other guides. A more experienced trio you will not get under one roof... The DVD is a 40 minute presentation of practical dune driving techniques and was shot on location in the heart of Atlantis Dunes. Some of the topics covered are:
Tyre Deflation, Stopping in sand, approaching a dune, cresting a dune, the slingshot, sand crawling, tyre repairs, airjacks, recovery gear, safety, using a spotter and gets rounded of by some practical examples. For the more adventurous driver there is also a short section on advanced driving techniques.

This DVD is about the efforts of 4 vehicles to map the Buffelspoort 4x4 Route under the very capable hands of Hannes le Grange who shared his knowledge of the area and its history. Day one was mapping the 4x2 routes and a very interesting drive up a very narrow, rocky, dry riverbed. Day two was the mountain, including one of the more extreme downhill and uphill drives (all diff lock terrain) and then a track that no more than 10 vehicles have driven over the past 2 years and that has not seen any repairs (yet) after the last flooding. Day 3 was the Poort, basically following the flood route through the poort that the Laingsburg floods followed. Water was rather deep at places and at some stages reached the window washers (over the bonnet)
While driving in a watery bed, reeds and leaves engulf the whole vehicle and clasping against the windscreen in a thick green bed, so much so that one could not even see any form of path or road at the time.

The Cruiser and the Hex DVD shows the effort of Johan Meyer to repair a 80 series cruiser that broke down after breaking a half shaft in the rugged Hex River mountains. The short snippets show the effort to get to the vehicle and the bush repair that took more than 2 hours to complete. An extract of this production was recently aired on the TV show, Kwella.

Description:
The Snake Talk DVD is a general information talk about the snakes of Southern Africa by Gary and Tracy of SnakeGetters.
Topics discussed include non-venomous snakes, venomous snakes and there is small section on snake bites. The information is in presentation style (presenter talks in front of a group of people) with some close-up film work of the snakes that were on display during the talk. On the DVD ROM a directory is available with the snake bite protocol that the medical profession should use in the event of a snake bite. The protocols are about 9 pages each and cover the puff adder, black mamba and the cape cobra.
The DVD is NOT a guide to all snakes of Southern Africa nor is it an identification guide, though some snakes were discussed in detail.
